Processes, Skills, Goals:  Discussion of benefits of sharing one's accomplishments in science, linking conditions in one's neighborhood to a local marine mammal habitat, or broader environmental issue.

Instructions:  Give quiz and review articles from the chosen publication option.

Materials:  Quiz. 

Guiding Questions:  What does an editor's choice of articles tell us about his audience?  Our chances to get in?  The audience interest in our story?  How might we alter our content to stay true to our story and still satiate the curiosity of that audience?

Homework:  Research options in remote sensing to advance the study of seals and their habitat.
