Edmund B. Lingan is a Ph.D. student in Theatre at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. His NML project has developed as a result of his studies of the relationship that exists between theatre and religion, and performance and spirituality. He will defend his dissertation, The Theatre of the New Religious Movements of Europe and America from the Nineteenth Century to the Present, on September 22, 2005.
